PharmaNutra and the partnership with the 151 Miglia-Cetilar Trophy

The relationship between PharmaNutra SPA and 151 Miglia is solid and deep, one that dates back a number of years – precisely from the day the regatta took shape in the mind of Roberto Lacorte, our Vice President and Managing Director, who designed and concretized the 151 Miglia almost ten years ago. He started with one goal: to quickly make this race the most important offshore regatta in the Mediterranean. Mission already completed, judging by the huge number of participants (last year there were 190 boats on the starting line out of the 217 registered) and by the interest expressed at all levels, even by the non sailing professional world.

Therefore, first through its brand Celadrin, then since last year with Cetilar, a formulation entirely patented and produced at home, the support of PharmaNutra SPA as main sponsor was natural, immediate and accompanied over the years by a pool of companies that currently includes Slam, Rigoni di Asiago and Acqua dell’Elba.
“Clearly the initial PharmaNutra support for the 151 Miglia race came about for reasons that went beyond strictly commercial logic,” recalls Lacorte, “but over the years the regatta has grown dramatically also in visibility and consequently in value, justifying an investment that has always been quite sizeable, both in economic terms and in terms of commitment.”

That’s why the sponsorship has been confirmed for the further growth of the event that will begin one week before the start of the regatta – planned this year for Thursday, 31 May, between Marina di Pisa and Livorno – with a series of events designed entirely by Cetilar representing the principal new dimension of the next edition.
“We do believe that the event still has a great deal of room to grow and we want to prove it. So, we are continuing to work hard to ensure that the regatta will attract more and more participants and –above all – be organized for the sailors. But we also decided to go further, with a series of events that will take place in the the Port of Pisa”, explains Lacorte, who has always experienced the 151 Miles as a sailor as well.

During the weekend before the departure, between Friday the 25th and Sunday the 27th of May, the coastline nearby will be the scene of a running race, the “15.1 Run”, the proceeds of which will be donated entirely to charity. There will also be a stage of the spectacular Mediterranean Series circuit of the M32 catamarans and “151 Bimbi a Vela” (i.e., 151 Children Sailing), an event set up to introduce the boys and girls to sailing and sport through competitions, games and the possibility of testing small boats.
“To make an event grow means involving many people. It can also include cross/pollination with other sports and the organization of social events that can enhance our territory”, concludes Lacorte. “As PharmaNutra, through our Cetilar brand, we are already present in different sports and we want this important background to spill over from the 151 Miglia race, one of the first events in which we believed and in which we continue to invest“.
