{"id":11462,"date":"2021-06-10T14:42:13","date_gmt":"2021-06-10T12:42:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pharmanutra.it\/sucrosomial-iron-new-clinical-trial-performed-by-dr-guillermo-bastida\/"},"modified":"2025-04-11T15:59:35","modified_gmt":"2025-04-11T13:59:35","slug":"sucrosomial-iron-new-clinical-trial-performed-by-dr-guillermo-bastida","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pharmanutra.it\/en\/sucrosomial-iron-new-clinical-trial-performed-by-dr-guillermo-bastida\/","title":{"rendered":"Sucrosomial\u00ae Iron: new clinical trial performed by Dr. Guillermo Bastida"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A new <strong>clinical trial<\/strong> entitled \u201c<strong>Sucrosomial Iron Supplementation for the Treatment of Iron Deficiency Anemia in Inflammatory Bowel Disease Patients Refractory to Oral Iron Treatment<\/strong>\u201d and performed by Dr. Guillermo Bastida as first author, of the Department of Gastroenterology of University and Polytechnic La Fe Hospital of Valencia (Spain), has recently been published online in the journal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mdpi.com\/journal\/nutrients\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Nutrients (IF: 4.546)<\/em>.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The study was <strong>prospective, multicenter, observational and conducted in four centers in <\/strong><strong>Spain and one in Portugal. <\/strong>It had the aim to evaluate tolerability and effectiveness of <strong>Sucrosomial<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Iron (SI) <\/strong>in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) patients with mild anemia that previously failed treatment with, or be intolerant to, other oral iron formulations.<\/p>\n<p>Authors concluded suggesting <strong>Sucrosomial<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Iron as a valid and effective option<\/strong> to correct hemoglobin levels in IBD patients.
