The ULTRAJOINT® formulation

ULTRAJOINT® consists of glucosamine hydrochloride obtained from maize glucose, with a high glucosamine content of 83%. The 100% plant-based origin overcomes the limitations of conventional sources derived from crustaceans and molluscs, eliminating the risk of allergenic contamination and broadening the application potential in the nutraceutical field.
The raw material is characterised by excellent palatability and high formulation versatility, making it suitable for a variety of dosage forms.

The physiological role of glucosamine

Glucosamine is a structural component of articular cartilage and synovial fluid and is involved in the physiological processes of joint maintenance. With advancing age, the endogenous availability of glucosamine tends to decrease, while cartilage degradation processes may increase.
