Fermented Red Rice

ULTRARED® is a functional ingredient based on fermented red rice, obtained through a natural fermentation process of rice by the yeast Monascus purpureus. It is an ingredient with a long tradition of use, known for centuries and now used in nutraceutical formulations dedicated to lipid metabolism, in compliance with current regulations.

Origin and production process

ULTRARED® is obtained by solid-state fermentation of rice, conducted under controlled conditions to ensure reproducibility, safety and constant quality of the raw material.

• exclusion of any adulteration with synthetic lovastatin
