Ingredient characteristics

Bimuno® GOS is available in powder and syrup and consists of a unique mixture of non-digestible galacto-oligosaccharides (GOS) with specific β-linkages, including 3′-galactosyl-lactose, a structure similar to components found in human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs). Being non-digestible in the upper gastrointestinal tract, BIMUNO® reaches the colon intact, where it is selectively fermented by beneficial bacteria such as bifidobacteria and lactobacilli.
Its distinctive structure underlies the documented bifidogenic activity observed in clinical studies even at low dosages.
